I’m back from Pittsburgh… I did quite a bit of shooting at the parade but a little less than I did last year. I wanted to actually enjoy the parade a little this year. The night before the parade I also found out that Hillary Clinton would be making an appearance in an effort to woo Pennsylvania voters ahead of the April 22nd Democratic primary. The atmosphere was more like a political convention rather than a parade, but it was a good time, nonetheless. Personally, I am not a fan of Mrs. Clinton, but the photographer in me insisted that I do my best to get some good shots. As I mentioned on Friday, a big camera and a little confidence will take you a long way in these circumstances. I managed to get inside the line surrounding Mrs. Clinton and got within a few feet of her to snap a few shots.

Thanks royston! It was pretty cold but not as cold as last year… As for Hillary’s security, well… I just walked into the middle of the fray in front of the media truck and got right in front of her about five feet away, with no one in front of me. I didn’t have a press pass or anything… just my camera. Let’s just hope that al Qaeda doesn’t go out and buy a 5D. Haha…

Some stellar shots, I really enjoyed each of them. I think the baby one is the cutest, but that’s because I ahve a soft spot for little ones.

Thanks Chica! I love the baby one, too. When I saw him I had to take a photo… I couldn’t get over his eyes! They’re incredible!
