Friday Link Love

It’s been a busy week for me at work and an even busier week out on the interwebs… Here are a few articles from the last week you might enjoy:

- The big news in the photo world this week: Adobe released their free, online version of Photoshop: Photoshop Express. Check out the reviews and test drives from Scott Kelby and Jeff Revell.

- Patty Hankins has an interesting description of using selective focus in your photography.

- Photopreneur has an interesting post on unusual photography business niches.

- Blurb, an online photo-book publisher, is offering $25,000 for the best self-published photo book. Read about my wonderful experience with Blurb here.

- A Photo Editor is offering to promote your best images for free! Read the details here.

- PopPhoto has a great interview with photojournalist John Moore here.

- Darren Rowse of Digital Photography School and Problogger encouraged all his Twitter followers to send him their best blog post from the past week. The result is an impressive list of content you may have never seen before.

- For DC photographers: I mentioned two days ago, Artomatic 2008 registration opened this week. Artomatic is a huge month-long art show for Washington, DC artists. Registration is first-come, first-serve so go register!

- Another link for my fellow DC photographers: The Washington cherry blossoms are in full bloom! I’ll be heading down to take some photos near the tidal basin before sunrise tomorrow. If you’re up that early and would like to join me email me or hit me up on Twitter. Check out the website of the National Cherry Blossom Festival for more info.

- And, last but not least, there are only a couple days left to submit your best cameraphone photos!! The top two photos will receive a $100 and $50 Amazon gift certificate! Add your photos to our Flickr group by Monday!
