Photos from Paris, Day 3 uploaded!
I have completed one more step in my continuing quest to process almost 7000 images in a week… Last night I uploaded all of the Day 3 photos to Flickr. If you remember from that day’s blog post, we spent much of the day around, and inside, the Eiffel Tower. As a friend of mine remarked this morning, I’m surprised my camera’s image sensor doesn’t have a permanent image of the Tower burned into it from all the photos I took. But, hey, it’s the Eiffel Tower! How can you not take a thousand shots of it?
Some of my favorites below:

OK… that’s mostly it for the Eiffel Tower. Other stuff coming in the next couple days. Sick of Paris yet? ![]()

Shawn the shots are looking really good! May I ask what tripod you were traveling with?
What can I say? the monochrome shots are just so stunning! Did you use an ND to lengthen the exposure time or what filter did you use? Shamelessly asking for the tricks so I know how to produce shots like yours.
@royston: Thanks! Actually, I’m still using a cheap Quantaray that I think I bought in Ritz Camera. I haven’t had the extra money to buy a really good tripod yet. This Quantaray one isn’t bad, though. For about $60, it’s held up pretty good.
@kRIZcPEc: Thanks!! The only filters I use are a UV/Haze filter (mostly just to protect the lens) and a circular polarizer. To extend the exposure time during the day, I usually just crank up the aperture as far as I can go… That’ll usually give me a slow enough shutter speed to capture the motion blur I’m looking for.
Thanks!
Man,…. I am just a sucker for black and white pics, and these black and white picks are just amazing.
I expect the black and white with the spyglas been taken from mont martre, that one is my favorite.
Nice, real nice work man. I wish I was as talented.

Thanks Bart! Actually the spyglass/telescope shot is from the second level of the Eiffel Tower. I love that one, too.
Thanks again!
