Worldwide Photowalk - August 23rd!

Remember that DC photowalk I mentioned last week? Well, hold on tight! Scott Kelby is organizing the first ever Worldwide Photowalk on August 23rd, the day after our DC photowalk! Jeff Revell of PhotoWalkPro will be organizing the DC event in Old Town, Alexandria, VA.
If you don’t live in the DC area, go see if there is a walk in a city near you!

As exciting as it is to have Scott Kelby get in on the photowalking community, I’m kinda bummed that he’s chosen to simply use it to market yet another Adobe ______ (fill in the blank) book.
I like Scott’s work, and he seems like a nice guy. I just hope that new photowalkers aren’t scammed into a bunch of marketing crap for the sponsors.
I miss the days of photowalking being for the photographers and their community.

Hi Trevor… I can definitely see where you’re coming from. I guess we’ll see if it is a decent photowalk or if it ends up being a marketing scam. I’m hoping (and I’m guessing) it’ll be the former. I like Scott’s work, too, but I would definitely be disappointed if they spent the time trying to sell me… Especially since I don’t use Lightroom anyway. I’m an Aperture guy.
