Flickr Group Photo of the Week
It’s that time of the week again!
This week’s photo of the week comes from Flickr user xgray. It’s a very simple shot of a chair. It just goes to show that you don’t necessarily have to have the most fascinating subjects to make a great photo. The composition here is everything. Nice work!

Can anyone elaborate on what’s so great about this shot and, specifically, about the composition?
All comments on flickr say ‘great’, ‘great’, ‘great’, but i honestly fail to see the greatness here, especially in terms of the composition of the shot — it just doesn’t seem easy to look at.
To me, the chair acts more like a set of leading line for the bright spot on the carpet — with nothing on it. Was that the idea?
Nice light, i suppose, but that’s about it…

I don’t really know how to explain it. I like it. It’s a simple shot with a different composition.
