I won Silver!
Back in October, I mentioned that one of my photos was selected as a finalist in the Amateur Portrait category for the 1st annual Fotoweek/DC photography festival. Well, last night my girlfriend and I attended the gala and awards ceremony which was held at the National Geographic Society building downtown.
As it turns out, of the four finalists, my photo won the Silver award! Woohoo! A huge congratulations is in order for fellow DC photographer Katy Ray for taking home the Gold!
I’m hoping that Fotoweek/DC will soon publish the finalist and/or winning images on their site soon so that you can see all the wonderful photos that were honored last night. The DC photo community truly is exceptional.
In the meantime, though, I’ll leave you with my image one last time:
